Safety Tips:

Always wear eye protection when using the slingshot.

Do not aim at people, animals, property, your idiot friend, etc.

Store the slingshot in a safe place away from children.

When the Spur Shot is mounted to your frame or fork make sure the band or any part of the slingshot does not inhibit the rotation of the wheel.

Check the Slingshot:

Before use, ensure that the slingshot is in good condition. Check the rubber band for any tears or wear. If the band is damaged, do not use the slingshot.  Find replacement parts like the band at www.relentlesscomp.com

Loosely thread in the M5 thumb screws.

The Spur Shot mounts by placing the top bolt through the slingshot arms into the center slot. Then the handle slot swings onto the lower M5 thumb screw.

Once in position tighten the thumb screws by hand.

Grab the slingshot band and bring it along side the handle.

Grab the end of the elastic leash and wrap around the fork or frame and wrap around the thumb screw.

Make sure band is secure and will not grab onto things along the trail or go into wheel.

Replace the band:

Using a 3 mm hex key loosen the two set screws at the top of the slingshot.

Loosen the set screws enough so that the copper band plates allow the slingshot band to be removed.

Trim new slingshot band to desired length and fold over end at width of band plate.

Slide folded over sling band in-between band plate and Spur Shot body. Make sure its fully inserted a slight amount of band is exposed on opposite side.

Tighten set screws to 2+ Nm. Make sure band can not pull out of Spur Shot. Repeat for opposite side.

Maintenance:

After each use, inspect the rubber band and replace it if it shows signs of wear or tear.
