The Mule Rear Rack is the first rack designed specifically for the needs of bikepacking. Instead of relying on welded tubular designs, the Mule Rack uses one piece of waterjet cut 6061 aluminum. Because of this "unibody" construction it allows us to add a lot of cargo carrying features other racks lack. With its many pockets and holes the Mule Rack can mount just about anything you want to carry with you. It does have specific slots for the ever growing line of mini panniers like the Bedrock Hermosa UL Panniers or Rockgeist Microwave Panniers.
Made in the USA waterjet cut 5052 Aluminum "unibody" rear rack. No welds, no swaging. Anodized black for durability
Mini Panniers - long, double slots at the top of each rack side are designed specifically for the strap mounting method of mini panniers.
Can mount Salsa Anything Cages, water bottles cages, and other accessories directly to the rack (up to 4x cages, maybe more, depends on how clever you are!)
Carrying Capacity - 60 lbs currently but testing higher loads
Flatbed deck allows you to easily strap down gear and bags as needed
Rack arms mount along slides on the side to increase stiffness and allow a vast range of frame fits and compatibility
Has clearance for up to 3" tires, can fit 29 x 3" tires on most frames (See dimensions for more details)
